President, Robert C. Gatewood III
Robert C. Gatewood III started with the company in 1978 as General Counsel of Burger Queen Enterprises. He soon became Senior Executive Vice President and acquired Burger Queen and Druther’s with his business partner and then-President, Tom Hensley. Robert has owned our companies since 1981 and has been President of Druther’s since 1996.
Robert has been an active member of the local and regional community for decades. Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, Kentucky.
He is originally from Mount Sterling, Kentucky and resides in Louisville with his wife, Mary. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
