2025 marks our 35th year as part of the World of Dairy Queen. In 1990, Druther’s agreed to become a territory operator for DQ and converted 117 Druther’s locations in six states to the DQ brand. While our company was not acquired, many of our executives and locations became part of the DQ Corporate-owned stores division which lasted through 2011. Following our 1990 conversion deal, our Druther’s DQ breakfast program, served since the Burger Queen days, was introduced to the DQ system, along with several other vendors like Sysco, and connections to Kentucky like Purnell’s, etc. A former Executive Vice President, Mike Kull, was also one of the folks who helped create the DQ Grill & Chill concept, while he was President of DQ Corporate Stores. We know we keep a low profile, but we’re proud of our continued work with ADQ and IDQ, and our 35th year as a multi-unit franchisee in Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia. Thanks to all of our current and former partners, their managers, fans, and crews, and to everyone else along the way who’ve been a part of our company’s journey. Thanks, y’all.
